↳ “Because I realized that, that I went on that boat with you, too. And I’ve been slowly drowning for all of these years and after every heartbreak or setback or loss, I sank deeper into the dark water. And so when I saw you, so beautiful and so alive, I realized that I’m not those things. Not anymore.” (for w4tcht0wer)

Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim Arrow Interview. Marc Guggenheim talks Arrow season 2, the Suicide Squad, The Flash pilot, and more.
What can you say to tease the return of The Huntress on the “Birds of Prey” episode? Who will she be now, when we see her again?
GUGGENHEIM: It’s been literally a year, in story time, since we’ve seen her. One of the things we told Jessica De Gouw, who plays The Huntress, was that we weren’t interested in treading over old territory with Helena. What we pitched her was the idea that basically Helena Bertinelli is gone. The only thing that remains is The Huntress. It’s been a year of her literally scouring the world to find her father, who was on the run at the end of Episode 17 of last season. We really wanted to show that wear and tear on her. We even aged up her costume a little bit, so you really get the sense that she has been traveling the world and literally has just spent a year killing people to try to get at her dad, and it’s done quite a number on her soul. We get to explore all that, in a really fun episode that also deals with Laurel Lance, in a very big way. One of the things we wanted to do with the episode was give Laurel her groove back, as it were. We have obviously taken Laurel down a very dark path, this year. As we started to see at the end of last week’s episode, she’s going to start turning the corner. And this episode with The Huntress is a very big move in that direction.
The CW vigilante action show ARROW shot scenes for episode 217 “Birds Of Prey” with several cast
THIS BLOG CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 17 OF SEASON 2 Of “ARROW”. If you do not want to see/read any spoilers prior to the episode. Please do not read the article or view the photos below… ….
A very cold early February night, I caught the cast of Arrow filming scenes for episode 17 of season 2, “Birds Of Prey” on Homer Street. Both interior & exterior shoots were done, including scenes in a court room & outside in a courtyard upstairs that I couldnt see in the early part of the day.
As night time came, they moved to outside to shoot in the -4C chilly Vancouver air.
They did a scene in an alley that I was unable to see because of all the crew huddled around that I THINK consisted of Caity Lotz and Stephen Amell, both in their alter ego attires. Interestingly, as open as Degouw was about letting me photograph her in her mask, Caity was the exact opposite, The 1st scene was 1 of Oliver walking up to a gaggle of cops, special forces personnel out on the street in front of the “Starling City Courthouse”.Paul Blackthorneas Quentin Lance was also in the scene. Because of the terrible vantage point for the scene, I never could see much of what it entailed, just that Oliver is on the phone & walks around a police cruiser.
The 2nd scene after that I saw was with 2 ladies that you never expected to probably be sharing a scene.Jessica DeGouw, who I saw earlier in the day in her Huntress uniform & even posed for a photo in her mask had traded it in for a cop uniform. She was forcibly escorting Katie Cassidy (Laurel) at gunpoint out of my view in the scene, pressumably into a police cruiser, or away from the crowd of cops who seemed oblivious to this going on.
I also saw Caity Lotz on set this day in her Black Canary mask but she didn’t want to be photographed in it, so I didn’t….so its going to be a masktravaganza episode it seems.
I managed to get autographs on this day from Stephen, Katie, Caity & Jessica. I think that’s a season 2 record for people I got on an Arrow set.
Arrow is airing new episodes every Wednesday on theCW in the U.S. & CTV in Canada.
Birds Of Prey episode is currently scheduled to air March 26th, 2014.
I feel like until Laurel is BC, they won’t be together.
They have some work to do now. The tension they had towards each other finally blew up in their faces, burned down all those bridges and now what they have to do is build them up again.
I think what we’ll see now is maybe Laurel trying to redeem herself to everyone, to show everyone that she is trying to get better and to try fix any relationships she hurt when she under drugs or drunk - Karolina
